I coach lifters ranging from complete beginners to competitive athletes prepping for meet day, through Faultline Barbell and online, NZ-wide. Programming, technique, and fatigue management, tailored to your life — not a generic template.
I'm a full-time powerlifting coach, operating out of Faultline Barbell through my coaching brand, PB Fitness Solutions.
I work with lifters ranging from complete beginners stepping under a barbell for the first time, to competitive athletes prepping for meet day — bringing hands-on coaching directly to the gym floor. My approach is built on taking the guesswork out of training and making powerlifting fit the individual. I tailor technical setup, programming, and fatigue management to suit each athlete's unique needs and life circumstances, helping lifters build strength and make consistent progress, on and off the platform.
Every program is RPE-based, autoregulated to how you're actually recovering week to week.
Every week, we look at how training actually went and adjust from there.

"My goals are far bigger now than just getting started. I want to make it to an international comp, break records, be a household name in NZ powerlifting and possibly even globally. My potential is far greater than I ever thought, and now I'm more consistent in the gym than ever before — all thanks to Preston, who first saw my potential and decided to put in more effort than I could even ask for."

"I've enjoyed a fresh look on my training and an introduction to a sport I had never considered before. It has been awesome having a coach who is invested in my progress and celebrates my wins just as much, if not more, than I do."
— Bailey
